English: Lichen planus is a chronic inflammatory disease affecting the skin, mouth and other mucosae. Lichen planus affects one or more of fingernails in > 10% of cases and presented with irregular longitudinal grooves and ridges of nail plate. Thinning or splitting is common whether the permanent loss of nails is rare. Treatment of lichen
planus in nails is difficult and often disappointed and usually must follow the treatment of skin and/ or oral lichen planus.
